Karine Martin Appointed Global Chief Operations Officer AXA Partners

AXA Partners’ assistance and credit insurance operations have been given a boost by appointing Karine Martin as its new Global Chief Operations Officer. She will become a member of the Executive Committee of AXA Partners.
Reporting to AXA Partners’ CEO Marie-Louise Elhabre, Karine Martin will manage assistance and credit insurance operations, with an operations community in more than 20 countries. She will also support their transformation in the face of current technological challenges, innovating and maintaining the quality of operations and client relationships, and all this within the framework of the 2024-2026 “Scale-up” strategic plan which was launched in February of this year.

With a Masters degree in public affairs and public law, 44-year-old Karine Martin began her career at the Paris Town Hall in 2003, working on budgets and internal auditing in the youth welfare office. In 2008, she joined organisational management and consulting firm Capgemini Consulting, working on major transformation programmes both in France and internationally.
In 2013, Karine Martin joined the Allianz group, spearheading its programme to overhaul the assistance operations of the Allianz Worldwide Partners group. She then took over management of auto compensation at Allianz France between 2016 and 2018. Between 2019 and 2021, she was in Geneva managing P&C claims for Allianz in French-speaking Switzerland.
In April 2021, Karine Martin joined Mercer's Executive Committee and took over management of health and welfare management operations for France, setting up and overseeing a major transformation project. Since October 2023, Karine Martin has also been heading up Marsh's operations in France as the Director of Operations and a member of Marsh McLennan France's executive committee.
